Netball
Netball developed as an off-shoot of Basketball and the sport quickly spread to England, by 1897 young ladies of nobility were playing the game on grass courts. In 1898 changes were made to basketball and the origins of Netball as we know it appeared. Over the years many changes to rules and court markings have been made and the modern international game is extremely fast and exciting. It is estimated that over 2 million players are active in the game all over the world and although traditionally a girl's sport, over the last 10 years it has also become popular with boys.
