Essentials for keeping your court playable. There is a direct relationship between how clean a tennis court is kept and the ultimate lifespan of the surface. Leaves, fluff from tennis balls etc. should not be left on the surface for any length of time as when they break down it encourages the growth of algae and moss.
Top Tip from Grimshaw Sports A garden blower/vac can be used to remove leaves but a rotary lawn mower makes an efficient alternative, when set to its middle cutting height and pulled backwards across the court. It is however essential that no petrol or oil is spilt on the court surface. Do make sure there are no large stones or other debris on the court which could be thrown out by the rotating blades.
